Meteo Fox

Weather Fox is a system based on the Arduino platform that allows environmental reading and monitoring.

The board is an Arduino MKRFox 1200 which integrates a controller and a SigFox module. The sensor is a DHT-11 heated on a prototype PCB, collects humidity and temperature data and communicates them to the microcontroller that sends data on a ThinkSpeak dashboard through the SigFox network.

The data posted on the Sigfox network are collected and displayed on the web through the use of the ThingSpeak service. The service offers APIs with which to manage data and any triggers. This is the link to real-time monitoring (https://thingspeak.com/channels/227248).

The device is powered by two AA 1.5V AA batteries. In this configuration, the device has an operating autonomy of about 80 days.
The project won The Hackster.io SigFox contest.

Meteo Fox è un sistema basato su piattaforma Arduino che permette la lettura e il monitoraggio ambientale.
La scheda è una Arduino MKRFox 1200che integra un controllore ed un modulo SigFox. Il sensore un DHT-11saldato su PCB prototipale, raccoglie i dati di umidità e temperatura e li comunica al microcontrollore che spedisce i dati su una dashboard ThinkSpeak attraverso la rete SigFox.
I dati postati su rete Sigfox vengono collezionati ed esposti sul web attraverso l’uso del servizio ThingSpeak. Il servizio offre delle API con le quali gestire i dati ed eventuali trigger. Questo il link al monitoraggio in tempo reale (https://thingspeak.com/channels/227248).
Il dispositivo è alimentato con due batterie stilo AA da 1,5 V. In questa configurazione il dispositivo ha un’autonomia di funzionamento di circa 80 giorni.
Il progetto ha vinto Il contest Hackster.io SigFox.
